We just got home with our West Texas steer sale purchases and today begins the first day of test filming on our reality show pilot that is being made over the next two weeks here at the steer barn and concluding with the Houston Stock Show. We need our past, present and future customers to visit us during this time period and tell your favorite stock show or show cattle story to the producers of this project. And while your here we would love to show you one of the best set of steers to be found in one place. This evening, Sunday March 4th, we are going to have a cook out with Brisket and Ribs prepared by Randy Poad (formerly of Poady's BBQ, Lone Rock WI) and we also are frying up a mess of catfish and experementing to see if we can make duck taste good! Try to join us as we welcome our TV producer from London England to Texas and provide him with some great footage for the new project!

This is a perfect Fort Worth Georgia or OYE steer! This calf some how missed being castrated and is just now developing a little bull look to his head and and neck. The seeeds are coming out this weekend and he will clean up fine as he feeds. Soundness is perfect, haircoat is awesome and disposition is great even though he still has his testicles. he has just a pinch of chrome to get noticed but already has that mature, good body fat steer look. This is a senior year calf for the individual the wants to go out with a great ending or gentle enough for 9 yr old getting off to a great start. I could go on for hours about the quality of this steer he is truly as bullet proof as you can pick them.

After a couple days rest from the Fort Worth Stockshow and sale week, I am cranking the showsteer factory back up today! Watch for new cattle pics on the Blog for the remainder of the week until our San Antonio departure

We are gonna sell this set the old fashioned way..... a small group of 10 head will be bid off by phone on the 2-12-11, bids close 7 pm. All other cattle are for sale first come, first serve Feb. 1st. Thanks again to all of our buyers this year on the best set of cattle we have sold to date. Lynae and I made a decision this past fall to re-invent ACC inventory offering. We will still handle our contract herd consignments and cater to the $3000-$4000 customers. But we have lowereed our inventory and overhead numbers in order to handle more of the "right ones" those special individuals that have a chance to win everytime out. Jayton brought his steer over friday for a hoof trimming and we gave him a little hair cut, we were so excited we decided to take him to his first show in Denison on sunday. We had a typicall first show, nervous calf and showman in ring A. but by the time we got to ring D everyone settled in and did their job but "FRIDAY" was washed out and tired. We were very excited with Reserve Grand honors and happy that Judge Mafey looked past the fatigue of our calf. At the back drop he told me there is something special about this calf, I said I wish you could have seen him friday at the barn! If any knows Mafey ask him to look at the barn pic here on the blog. Jayton got a little taste of blood and is working hard and has high expectations for the West Texas fair.

Approximately 80 - 5-7 year old Express & Glover bred Females, AI'd to Bullicious, Walk's Alone, Red Rock, Chopper, Grizzly, Copyright and Steel Force. These are FOB Fredonia, KS. $2,300/truck load - $2.500/less than a load.

Approximately 180 - 4 year old 5/8 Angus 3/8 Brahman bred females, black and black baldies. Due dates are Mid-September to Early - November. Coming with second calf, bred to Yellow Jacket, Heat Wave and Kadabra sons and other Maine Clubby sires. These are FOB Bracketville, TX. $2,000/truck load - $2.200 less than a load.
